It was twenty-four years ago that the Lord and Lady of Esaies were blessed with the birth of triplets - two boys and a girl, all perfectly healthy and anything parents could want in their children. The eldest, Tempest, began the training necessary for him to succeed his father, and the girl, Gale, began training to become the perfect lady. The youngest, Rain, wasn't burdened with the same sort of responsibilities and expectations as his siblings. He received the standard training any noble would need, though his parents would allow him to study any discipline he so desired in addition. Not wanting to be all that different from his siblings, Rain would instead often sit in on training Tempest was receiving, if only to watch. It didn't allow him to excel in any of the disciplines his brother was learning, but it made him feel closer to his siblings. Time passed, the triplets grew, and tensions between his brother and sister became painfully obvious. Though Rain would continue to act as if the strife between his siblings didn't bother him as much as they did, the tension took its toll on him as well. He took to doing busywork around the house - helping the servants (which his father frowned upon), spending time walking along the shore, and doing things that could take him away from that tension, if only for a little while. Often, after a particularly harsh conflict between his siblings, Rain would disappear, turning up again after a few hours carrying shells or some other evidence of having spent the time elsewhere nearby. Rain continued to be on good terms with both his brother and sister, despite the tensions between the pair. Then one day their father vanished without a trace, and Tempest became a storm lord. And conflict in their family only seems to have been getting worse since. |
Whereas his brother is calm, cool and (relatively) collected and his sister is (not quite) the perfect lady, Rain is an idealistic young man who wears his heart on his sleeve. He likes to believe the best in people, and will continue to do so even after circumstances have shown otherwise. Though his brother and sister always seem at odds, he's certain that deep down they really do care about each other. Rain dislikes seeing people fight, being something of a pacifist, and wants to believe that all the world's problems can be solved by just the right amount of talking, and a significantly less amount of weaponry. He's a kind young man who is always willing to listen to others, and he's really never been known to misbehave in any fashion. Childishly naive at times, he'll generally go along with whatever his parents tell him is best. Though the truth of the matter was, that his parents generally gave him free reign to do as he liked, since he'd never been as much of a hassle as his siblings. |
Rain has short dark hair that often appears somewhat messy, and blue eyes. He's a bit thinner than he probably should be, and wears pretty much whatever those around him think it best for him to wear. Or anything they'd like to see him in, really. He generally prefers wearing nondescript clothes in varying shades of blue and grey, but he doesn't put up too much of a fuss if stuffed into something different. He stands a good few inches shorter than his siblings, and has a soft tenor voice. PB is Naoto from DOGS. |
